2017 European School of Information Theory
Madrid, May 8-11, 2017

The European School of Information Theory (ESIT)is an annual educational event, organized by the ۿ۴ý Information Theory Society, for graduate students from institutes throughout Europe and beyond. The objective of the school is to provide the students with the opportunity (i) to learn from distinguished lecturers by attending long-format tutorials, (ii) to present their own work to obtain feedback and to start up collaborations, (iii) to hear about applications of information theory in industry, and (iv) to participate in a stimulating and inviting forum of scientists.

Technical meetings

The event hostedthe talks“ Reconsidering management challenges in chaotic telecommunication environments ” by Rui Aguiar , "Know your RF ambiance: cartographic techniques for spectrum-aware networking" by Daniel Romero ,and "Stationary graph processes and applications to network topology inference" by Antonio G. Marqués , and featured a poster session in the afternoon.

During the morning this event hosted three talks delivered by Bruno Clerckx ,“ Rate Splitting: An Idea Whose Time Has Come ”, Eduard Jorswieck , “ Resource Allocation in Heterogeneous interference networks: energy-efficiency, security and latency ”, and Martin Lerch, Affordable Mobile Communications Experiments in High Mobility Scenarios ”. In the afternoon poster session students presented their research results.
